A graduate of Dnipro National University, graduated from the Faculty of History, has been working at the department since 1994, after defending his candidate's thesis. For a long time he was the head of the sociology laboratory, which was actively engaged in sociological research. Among her projects are a study of the 25-year-old generation in the post-Soviet space (together with colleagues from Britain and Belgium), participation in the All-Ukrainian Population Census (2001), several exit polls, when they were just becoming part of the pre-election process in Ukraine.

Associate Professor of the department, co-author of several monographs devoted to the study of the city, youth social groups, and problems of popular culture.
