The purpose of the educational program is to train highly qualified specialists in the field of sociology, capable of independently conducting applied and theoretical sociological research, analytically understanding social processes and phenomena, developing substantiated conclusions and recommendations for public authorities, business and civil society.
The educational program is aimed at forming in-depth knowledge in the theory and methodology of sociology, developing research, analytical and prognostic competencies, skills in working with quantitative and qualitative data, modern information-analytical and digital tools.
Graduates of the program acquire the ability to critically analyze social transformations, public sentiments, values, behavioral practices, communication and media processes, as well as to professionally apply sociological knowledge in research, expert-analytical, management and educational activities.
The educational program is also focused on preparing applicants for further scientific activity and study at the third (educational-scientific) level of higher education.
Focus of the educational program
The focus of the educational program is to prepare master's degree sociologists capable of comprehensive analysis of modern social processes, in particular social changes, inequalities, identities, communications, the influence of media and digital technologies, using modern methods of sociological research and interdisciplinary approaches.
