📚 Education. In 1977, he graduated from Donetsk State University, Faculty of History. After graduating from the university, he remained to work there. From 1977 to 1986, he worked as the head of the student trade union committee of Donetsk State University.

📄 Scientific work. In 1982, he graduated from the postgraduate course of the Department of History of the CPSU of Donetsk State University. In 1983, he defended his candidate's thesis at the T. Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 1984, he was awarded the title of "associate professor", worked at the Department of Scientific Communism. In 2003, he defended his doctoral thesis at the I. Frank National University of Lviv. In 2004, he was awarded the title of professor of the Department of Political Science. From 2003 to 2017, he was the head of the Department of Political Science of the V. Stus National University of Kyiv.

During his work at the department, 270 scientific works were published. Of these: 3 monographs, one by one and 1 in co-authorship, 7 textbooks with the seal of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Scientific supervisor of postgraduate students: 20 candidates of sciences and 2 doctors of political sciences were defended.

• Member of the specialized scientific council of the Vasyl Stus Donetsk National University and the O. Honchar Dnipro National University.
• Member of the editorial boards of professional journals in political science (Ukraine, Poland).
• Participant of international (Poland, Germany) and all-Ukrainian scientific conferences.
• Fellow of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for scientific achievements.
• Lecturer at: Warsaw University (Poland); Chernivtsi National University named after Yu. Fedkovych; Volyn National University named after L. Ukrainka (Lutsk).

🏆  Professional activity. Awarded the badges "Excellent Educationist of Ukraine" in 2001, "Petro Mohyla" in 2007, a certificate from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in 2009 as the supervisor of the winner of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in natural sciences, technical and humanitarian works in the direction of "Political Sciences", the anniversary medal "Twenty Years of Independence of Ukraine" in 2011.
